Antti Hautamäki

Ph.D. Antti Hautamäki is a research professor (innovation) at the University of Jyväskylä, starting in this position on March 2009. Before that he has worked in the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra since 1996, as a research manager, research director and as an executive director of the innovation program. Hautamäki worked years 2006-2007 as a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley School of Information. He is an adjunct professor of theoretical philosophy at the University of Helsinki. Before Sitra he worked several years as a researcher at University of Helsinki, Academy of Finland and Nokia Research Center, and as a consultant in public and private organizations.

Mr. Hautamäki has been a member of several committees preparing research programs or proposals for the Academy of Finland and for different ministries. He was also a member of steering group of a project of the Finnish Government: .Finland in the Global Economy. (2004). He also participated to the creation of the new innovation strategy of the Government (2007-2008). He has done his thesis about philosophical logic in 1986.

He has written and edited over 20 books and written over 100 articles concerning philosophy, cognitive science, innovations, information society and public policy.

He is now studying innovation ecosystems and innovation activities, especially related to services and sustainable development.
